About Me

Hi, I’m Johnny.

For 9 years I’ve designed ways for people to connect with services, opportunities, and communities. I believe good design helps people come together and move forward more effectively. I’m motivated by projects that create positive impact, whether by supporting connection, participation, or building a shared understanding.

Hi, I'm Johnny.

For 9 years I've designed ways for people to connect with services, opportunities, and communities. I believe good design helps people come together and move forward more effectively. I’m motivated by projects that create positive impact, whether by supporting connection, participation, or building a shared understanding.

My background in education, recruiting, and community-facing work shapes how I approach product design today. I take pride in my curious mindset I bring to work. I’m interested in finding root problems and exploring how people respond to designs rather than creating temporary solutions for them.

In the past, I’ve succeeded in leading cross-functional teams, designing for multiple priorities, and facing ambiguity in project direction. My experiences influence how I show up as a designer: thoughtful about nuance and focused on creating experiences that feel intuitive, inclusive, and supportive.

When I’m not behind the screen, you might find me:

  • exploring with my husky, Luna

  • making espresso or iced pour overs

  • playing pickup basketball

  • enjoying a sweet treat with my wife

What I’m into right now:

  • photography on Ricoh GR3x

  • co-fermented coffees

  • “testing” the first gaming PC I’ve built

  • trying new things!
